Yes. There will be a nominal fee associated with examining a flute and providing you with a letter of appraisal. This will be the value of a new instrument of the same or comparable manufacture. This is not an assessment of the value of the instrument on the open market. I will only provide the letter if I can personally examine the instrument.
Increasingly professional flute makers are providing free letters of appraisal for customers. Check online if the maker of your instrument provides this service.
