Welcome

Welcome to Lori Lee Flute Repair. I have been serving the San Francisco Bay Area flute and piccolo repair needs for over 20 years. I work on the full flute family range (piccolo, concert C, alto G, bass C, and contrabass flutes) and work on student, step-up, professional, and handcrafted instruments. I work with keyed flutes and work with metal and wooden instruments. I am Straubinger pad certified and also work with traditional wool pads.

Shop Hours: Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm by appointment. I work exclusively on instruments from the San Francisco Bay area. I do not ship or receive shipments of instruments.

I am now accepting appointments for flute and piccolo repair. I’m receiving and returning instruments outside: There is no trying out flutes indoors. Due to the sterilization protocols I am using all instruments need to be kept a minimum of two days at a minimum cost of $40. For sterilizing instruments I am using a combination of UV-C light and isopropyl alcohol. Alcohol is not used on wood and leather components. You may contact me for a pre-appointment assessment and to set up a meeting time. I’ve also written in detail about “What Happens During an Appointment“.

Contact me for an appointment and estimate for repair work. When contacting me it is helpful to tell me the following about your instrument:

  • It’s age
  • It’s make and model
  • When it was it last worked on and what was done
  • Has it ever had all its pads changed and how long ago did this happen
  • How much are you playing your instrument and are you playing it frequently outdoors

I am also available for Zoom consultations.
