The Worst-Case Scenarios

Unfortunate scenarios involving flutes and flutists.

  1. Mammalian urine. Specifically, urine from a stressed out and angry indoor cat that has sprayed your instrument.
  2. Wool moths infesting flute pads.
  3. The piccolo in the parking lot pothole puddle of water.
  4. The beach.
  5. Burning Man.
  6. Theft.
  7. Absent-mindedly being left on the roof of a car while someone is looking for car keys.
  8. Being run over by a car.
  9. Being sat on by a flutist.
  10. Being flung through the air (by flutists, non-flutists, and a dog) and landing hard on the ground.
  11. Being used as a lever by a 10-year old with a limited knowledge of Archimedian principles.
  12. Being used as a bat in a game of baseball.
  13. Sleep-deprived, new mothers.
  14. Flutists passing out on seeing their instruments being disassembled for the first time.
